Sarah and Leah's Shower!

3lbs. 3oz. 16in.

Leah made an early apperance into the world on July 10th. She wasn't due until September 9th, but the Lord had other plans! It gave us all quite a scare (I'll save the details), but Little Leah has proven to be quite the fighter. She was born two months early, and despite the fact that she's itty bitty, her lungs were FULLY developed and she's healthy as can be!! I've been waiting to post on the blog until I had some pictures to go along with it, so that's why I'm a little late sharing our wonderful news!!!

**Update!** She's now 4lbs. 5oz. and is due to come home early this week!!!!

We had a shower for Sarah and Leah today. Though we thought Little Leah was still going to be in Sarah's belly for the shower, she is now about three weeks old and doing great!! Sarah looks beautiful and is already such a good Momma!! ;)

I haven't actually seen Baby Leah in person since she's still in the NICU, but you can see her in the picture below. She's beautiful with a head of black hair and healthy as can be!! PRAISE THE LORD! :) I cannot wait to hold her and watch her grow up...it'll be my chance to experience the girly stuff!! :) Oh, and on that note, that child will be the most fashionable for sure. She has gotten the most adorable outfits and accessories!!!

Nathan, Robyn, and Jay!!! :)

On our way home from Arlington, we were able to swing by to see our sweet friends, Nathan and Robyn...and Jay, of course!! ;)

He has grown up SO much since the last time we had seen him. Soooo cute with LOTS of personality!! I sure wish that Conner had been there so they could play together, but they're coming in town in September and will be back in October for Jay's birthday!! :)

We got Jay a bat from the ballgame...Daddy is showing him how to hold it.

Back together!! :) We miss them terribly. :(

Rangers/Mariners Game in Arlington, TX

We had such a great time at the game and just being together. Though we didn't get any autographs...:( ...we did get to watch the Mariners during batting practice with Ken Griffey, Jr. and were able to witness, first-hand, within 10 feet Josh Hamilton catching an ESPN highlight catch of the night!!! :) Sweet.

Final score: Rangers 5 to 4, so it was a great game!

It began raining...POURING...during the bottom of the seventh, and we thought for sure that the game would be cancelled. However, two and a half hours later, the game along with the fireworks show resumed. David and I watched the rest of the game in the comfort of our hotel room. :)

We brought Conner a bat and t-shirt home from the game. Though this is NOT a bat to play with, Conner likes it!! :) We'll display it with his others.

Sweet Boy...I love when Conner kisses my belly, "Cayden". He may get a little confused when Cayden actually gets here... from BELLY to BABY!!!

TWENTY-EIGHT WEEKS!

Twenty-eight 1/2 weeks...and you can tell I've (he's) grown in that short amount of time! Ha!!

I go back to the doctor on Wednesday, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how everything is going. At my last appointment I found out that my sugar level is fine, and surprisingly, the same is true about my iron level. This is a vast difference from last time. I was put on iron supplements pretty early while carrying Conner. Funny since I take my vitamin HALF of the time with Cayden due to the fact that it's a stinkin' horse pill that I can't seem to get down and I'm not watching my caffeine/sugar intake one bit. I know....I vow to try and change this during my last trimester. :( Anyway, it's good to know that obviously everything's okay!! :) I gained a whopping FOUR pounds in a matter of a two week time span, but somehow managed to go back a cm when Dr. Kimmel measured me?! Who knows. Maybe this time I'll measure up and we can find out when the next sonogram will be...I'm anxious to see how big Little Man is at this point.

I've actually started Cayden's pregnancy scrapbook. This is something that I did for Conner, and it just didn't seem right not to do Cayden one. It's not quite as elaborate, but it will have some cute layouts that Conner's didn't.

Another project I've been working on is catching up on an album for Conner - yeah, I've waited TWO years to even begin. I ditched the scrapbook idea and resorted to printing LOTS of pictures with texts/collages to document milestones and special memories, and I simply put those in a regular photo album. MUCH EASIER, and it enables me to "hopefully" keep it up with both boys. No pressure of maintaining the scrapbooking!! Whew. In this digital world, it's easy not to print actual pictures, but I really want to have a traditional photo album of my children to keep in the living room and break out from time to time. (I'm thinking when girlfriends come around..ha!!) Anyway, it'll also be nice to have Conner's on hand to compare the boys at different stages without having to search in the blog archives/computer files. ;)

Oh, but still haven't written one single word in Conner's baby book, haven't "officially" received his birth certificate, and can't find his SS card. I'm a fabulous mom, huh. :( Yeah, not too proud of myself, but I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get all that together before baby #2 comes. I unfortunately had to learn the hard way with Conner but will be a bit more organized with Cayden's paperwork. (The whole family for that matter.) Ugh. Plus, I need to finish getting his room together - I don't know if I'm feeling the "nesting" stuff, but I'm a little overwhelmed at the moment knowing he will be here in a few, FAST months cause....

School starts TOMORROW!!! However, I am excited...I LOVE the feeling of a fresh, new year!!

Alyssa was in town for a few days last week, so we had lots of fun together!! She left for Baton Rouge to visit some friends but will be back to spend one more night with us before heading home to NC. :( We are simply too far apart.
