SOMETHING NEW...

Conner has started sleeping on his side now. For the past week, he's been falling asleep on his side and then easing onto his back eventually. When I put him down for a nap or even for the night, he'll curl up and settle himself down.

This was during nap time today.

But wait...there's more!

Conner can put the pacifier in HIMSELF!!! We've caught him doing it about five times!!! That's HUGE!!

This was cute! Conner was waiting PATIENTLY while dinner was being cooked. He looks extremely bored....and to top it off, the food wasn't even for him!! Poor little man!!

FIVE MONTHS OLD!

Conner turned FIVE months old today!! Each month seems to go by faster! He is growing up more and more every day, and he is such a blessing from the Lord! Today I haven't been feeling well, but when I look at him, he brightens up my day and makes everything better!

SWEET BABY!!

What's been going on lately in our little man's world:

1. Conner loves eating his fruit and veggies along with nursing...we're doing REALLY well with the breastfeeding. I'm so glad that I hung in there! =)

2. He is TEETHING!! I had my first tooth at five months, so he should be getting one soon.

3. Conner has a very sweet and outgoing personality. He loves to smile and talk to others. (He's been known to flirt with the ladies!) He LOVES to laugh and is VERY ticklish!!

4. His favorite sound is the letter Zz and likes the word ZZZZZIPPER! His favorite sounds to speak are the letters...Nn, Mm, Gg, Ll, Ww, Bb, and Dd along with the vowels. "Dd" is his absolute favorite...I think. (I foresee "Dada" being one of his first words, and boy does he love his daddy!!!)

5. Hopefully Conner likes music because we're constantly singing and playing songs.

6. Conner likes to know what's going on and likes to sit up so that he can see everything and everyone. You can see that he tries to figure things out and his little mind is constantly working. Physically, he's limited to what he can do...but he sure does want to explore! He's gotten much better at coordinating his hands and feet.

7. Conner LOVES to stand! He may be a case that WALKS before he CRAWLS. He does not like to be confined to the floor on his belly. He can lift his upper body pretty well but still prefers to be sitting up or standing. We're still mastering a CONSISTENT ability to roll over.

8. He loves for Daddy to take him on a roller coaster with his carrier. As my mom says, Conner seems to be a thrill seeker!!!

9. Bath time is so sweet and fun!

10. Conner sleeps very well during the night! He wakes up around 6:00 to nurse and then goes back down for a few hours. He wakes up with a BIG smile! Usually I'll go in his room to find him playing and talking to himself. As much as he loves being around others, he is very good at entertaining himself. He takes a couple of naps throughout the day. I'm trying to manipulate it to one good nap in the morning and a long nap in the afternoon.

I forgot one...guess it'll have to be top ELEVEN! Conner loves to look in the mirror. I told him that I would smile that big too if I saw such a cute face staring back at me! 8)

*** There are so many other wonderful things that I could say about Conner, but I decided to limit it to the TOP TEN! 8) Thank you God for your continued hand and guidance as we raise our precious little one. I am so thankful for the past five months and know that what's to come is going to be an AMAZING journey!!***

Beautiful Christy!

Our cousin, Christy, was in Beauty and Beau this past Saturday and did such an amazing job. She is a beautiful girl and as you can see, looked FANTASTIC for the pageant!! We love you!!

After Beauty and Beau, we met some friends at Newk's. While we were waiting in the parking lot, we let Conner get behind the wheel. We have MANY years of practice ahead of us before he gets on the road. I don't even want to think about that...so I won't! 8)

Conner had a good time at the ball fields. There was so much to look at, and we had fun cheering for Daddy. To top it off, they won the game!!

This was too funny not to post! I was on praise team this week and was practicing the songs. I guess I had the music turned up a bit too loud because David called me in there to see the state that it was putting our boy in. The picture does not give this moment justice....it was HILARIOUS!!! 8) Sorry honey, I know you have to listen to Mommy sing ALL the time!

I am so glad that everything worked out so that Conner and I could spend some time up in North Carolina. The trip went by so fast. It's always so hard to leave one another, especially after such an incredible time together. I still tear up thinking about how far away y'all are. Momma and Daddy, thank you for EVERYTHING!! I love and miss you soooo much!!!

Bumbo Time

We finally got Conner a bumbo seat...he seemed to like the new view. Our next purchase will be an exercauser...fun!!!

Yummy to Conner's Tummy!

We fed Conner some fruit, pears, for the first time yesterday and he LOVED it! He ate some more again this morning. We mixed in a little cereal with the fruit. After he finished eating, I nursed him, so needless to say, our little man's tummy was so pleased. Yum! Yum!

Look at that sweet face! This is the beginning of a whole new world of eating for Conner. I think that we'll do fruit & cereal in the morning and veggies & cereal at night. We're introducing one at a time for three consecutive days, but soon Conner will have a huge pallet of foods to add to his repertoire.

Little Joey

Joey went to Camp Bark while my family was at the beach. He painted this picture and earned a certificate for being the best camper. I'm telling ya, this dog is sooo cute and now I see he's quite talented! 8)
