Just a Few August Updates...

We took Mammaw Shirley out to Logan's for her birthday on August 2nd!! She's 66 going on 50!!! :) We love you, Mammaw!

The Boys...

Had to implement a calender (putting my old teaching stuff to good use) because Conner was having a hard time grasping when we planned to go to Chuck-E-Cheese. It helped him understand the abstract concept by counting how many more days. It's been fun moving the circle each morning. It's hard to believe that it now circles the ELEVENTH of August which means our baby girl will be here very soon!!!!

Conner's new sticker chart which is even more full now....yay!!! (I think David and Conner are gonna plan to go to the State/LSU game in September for his next reward....hopefully he will make the deadline cause that would be so special!!)

We've been doing a little school here and there through letters and memorizing scripture at home. However, we did decide to enroll Conner into a 4-K program at the church for 3 half days a week, so now we will just continue our tidbits while reinforcing the things he learns in school. He misses the structure of a classroom and being able to be with friends...and actually expressed that to me in a surprisingly mature way. His first day was "supposed" to be on August 23rd...ummmm, Baby Girl's birthday, so they agreed to let Conner officially start on September 1st!! He is so excited, and I think it'll be a good opportunity for me to have just the two littles at home with me for a few hours so that Cayden can get a true taste of being the BIG brother and HOPEFULLY help momma with SK!! It seems that it may work out perfectly since pick-up time is 11:45 and we can simply go home, have lunch, nap, and continue our normal routine here at the house. Also, it'll force me to get out of the house during the week which will be good for me!! It's a great stepping stone to FULL-DAY KINDERGARTEN which is JUST next year!!! Then I'll probably begin sending Cayden to Mother's Morning Out...and have just Sarah Kate by herself from time to time..may send her too though, we'll have to cross that bridge when we get there. I CAN SEE THE LIGHT....just need to get through these first days and months of adjusting to life with THREE kids!!!....many people have gone before me! (like my MOMMA) I have to continually remember that this too shall pass, and sadly I've already seen that it truly does fly by too quickly, so I need to treasure this precious season of my kids' lives as well as each one to come! Each bringing a new set of JOYS and CHALLENGES of its own. One day and moment at a time depending on the Lord's overflowing supply of ability to help me each step of the way!!!!
