We traveled up to NC for my sister's wedding. (See MANY pictures above!) This was
SK's first road trip and our first attempt at
traveling with THREE kids. I was
soooooo completely surprised at how it all went. We left around 4:00PM and drove all night. David and I talked the entire time (WITHOUT getting into one single disagreement) and the kids either slept or were at least quiet the whole time. We made a few pit stops here and there for supper, potty breaks/diaper changes, and for nursing. It was the easiest trip thus far...go figure!!! Ha! On the way home, we traveled back during the day, and even that wasn't too bad. We pulled over to let the boys run around/stretch for awhile, and even Sarah Kate did exceptionally well...minus the last hour.
Cayden AND SK pretty much fell apart once we hit Meridian, but we somehow made it home. (I'm not letting that last hour override how well they did!!)
We had such a great time visiting my family. Despite the fact that everyone was so busy getting last minute things done and being involved in all the ins and outs of the wedding, it was one of the best trips hands down. Somehow we managed to have chill time and even squeeze in some shopping and a Chuck-E-Cheese lunch! Here are some "non-wedding" pictures of our visit...
